General Assembly Election results 2003

ANCB’s General Assembly for Election for 2003 was held on the 29th of March in Sitara hotel, Kabul Afghanistan and 142 member NGOs participated.

  1. Mr. S. Amir Tahsin director of MAWA, Eng Hamisha Gul director of ATRC and S. Fazlullah Wahidi director of AGHCO were nominated for chairmanship. The first two candidates withdrew their nominations, and Mr. S. Fazlullah Wahidi was re-elected as chairman for the year 2003.

  2. 17 member NGOs’ representatives were nominated for the Board of Directors. The following 10 persons were elected as members of the Board of Directors:

    1. Eng. Sayed Rahim Satar                     APWO           

    2. Mr. Abdul Wali Babakarkhil                  UMCA/RPA

    3. Eng. Mohammad Qasem Tahiri             BAS

    4. Mr. Qayum Sayedi                            AMRAN

    5. Ms. Marzia Babakarkhil                       AWSCO

    6. Mr. M. Sediq Patman                         ANAR

    7. Mr. Amanullah Nasrat                        HEWAD

    8. Mr. Abdul Ahad Maihanyar                  RDN

    9. Mr. Mohammad Ishaq Zirak                 GRSP

    10. Eng. Barialai Omarzai                         ACRU

  3. On the same day the elected Board of Directors held a meeting in the ANCB conference room. According to the rules of ANCB Charter, Eng. S. Rahim Satar and Mr. A. Wali Babakarkhil nominated for Vice Charman and Finance Director and approved.
