cialis online cialis To extend this finding to other models, the experiment was repeated using the 4T1 mammary carcinoma genetically modified to express the influenza-derived HA as a model tumor antigen (Fig. 3 B). Mice were challenged on day 0 with 0.5 x 106 4T1-HA cells. On the next day they received 3 x 106 HA-specific naive CD8+ T cells. After adoptive transfer, the mice were either treated with sildenafil or left untreated. As with the C26GM experiments, no therapeutic benefit was observed with ACT alone, whereas sildenafil + ACT imparted the greatest antitumor benefit. Sildenafil treatment alone, instead, substantially delayed tumor progression in immunocompetent BALB/c mice but not in immune-deficient Rag-2/ mice (Fig. S3, available at http://www.jem.org/cgi/content/full/jem.20061104/DC1). These data confirm the immunomodulatory properties of PDE5 inhibitors in augmenting the therapeutic efficacy of ACT and demonstrate a role of sildenafil in modifying the tumor microenvironment rendering it more susceptible to CTL-mediated cytotoxicity. Essay Competition/ Theme: Youth Role in Corruption Eradication

Essay_ComWith an attempt to explore and nourish the talents of Nangarhar university students USAID and ANCB arranged an Essay competition on 08 April 2012. The purpose of the Essay Competition was to aware youth of their role in corruption eradication and to demonstrate their writing skills. The competition has been named as Youth role in corruption eradication. The competition was open for all university students.  In response, 20 essays of write-ups were submitted to us before the deadline. The writers were asked to submit their essays composed within 2000 words As a part of procedure a ‘Panel of Judges’ was formed with four honorable University Lecturers.. On the day of the essay competition 16 writers presented their essays to the audience on the stage. The judges were observing every single movement of the presenters on the stage and after a long process of critical judgment; the Panel of Judges finally selected the best three write-ups for award. In some cases, it was a challenge to identify exactly which topic was being addressed, because some participants were presenting a general concept regarding corruption while the specific topic was youth role in corruption eradication. (In future contests, we should require that participants clearly note which question they are answering or what topic they are addressing?) Based on our approximations, the most enthralling topic was the posed one which grabbed the writers’ attention and willingly shared some notions on the stage. The participants came from a variety of faculties. There was a good disciplinary mix of writers. From 16 essay presenters 8 were males and 8 were females.

Among the contestants Mr. Siffatullah Khalid grabbed the first position. Ms. Karishma Nazifi turned out to be second and Ms. Zarghona Roghman secured third position. The Cups/Prizes along with certificates were handed over to them by the honorable judges on the event of the gathering. Besides the first, second and third position holder all the writers were awarded with prizes and medals.
